Brick by Brick

Faith can move mountains 🏔

For those of us who don't really understand what faith is, the apostle Paul describes it as "the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen". The churches we are assisting in Guatemala are churches with this kind of faith. Step by step and brick by brick they have begun to move forward in faith knowing that God is ahead of them giving them the things that they need. The churches in Guatemala were in need of several things, some of them being: a retention wall, classrooms, and space.

The church was physically breaking apart. Centro de Oracion de Principe de Paz is located on a steep hill and was slowly sliding down into the road. So the church asked if we could help them build a retention wall. What started out as a small project turned out into a bigger one as they were able to also build classrooms with the materials that were purchased through donations. The funds were provided, but the church took the initiative and began building.

Through faith, another one of the churches bought land in hopes of building a bigger church for their congregation. The people in their churches sit outside for services on days when there are too many of them to sit inside. This means they are exposed to the cold, rain, and extreme heat at times, all so they can hear the word of God preached. These churches are moving by faith so that they can have a safe place of prayer and worship. It's amazing what God is doing so far, and we thank everyone who has donated to help out with this project. They are moving in faith, and so are we.

Let us work together as the hands and feet of Christ, extending our help and our time to help those in need.
