Guatemala, a country brimming with beauty, colors, and culture.
One of our missions is to equip leaders with the knowledge, tools, and resources that they need to raise the next generation. During this trip to Guatemala, we got to do just that. Our goal during this trip was to educate leaders and new teachers while helping them to create and maintain a children's ministry. We traveled to 3 different churches in the area, spending 2 days in each church with a total of 1 week in Guatemala.
The first day consisted of workshops for the teachers and leaders where we were able to provide them with kits that contained pencils, crayons, and teaching material. The second day was used as an outreach and as a way to put into practice the material that was learned the day before. Around 700 kids were in attendance, 500 in the first church, and around 100 in the other two...I know WOWzers~
That's 700 lives that have been touched, loved, inspired, and impacted-and that's not even counting the adults! Each child received juice, crayons, a notebook, toys and more. Our days were spent singing, teaching, playing, hitting piñatas, laughing, and loving one another.
Of course this could not have been done alone. Our missionary team consisted of 2 other churches: Centro Cristiano Aliento de Vida and Iglesia Movimiento de Evangelización Misionera Jóvenes Cristianos. Thank you so much for the help that you have given and the impact that you have made in the lives of those leaders, children, and families.
